Hi, my name is Kim. I have been a volunteer since the beginning of STCC. Sabine, the founder of STCC, is a very dear friend of mine, and she inspired me to participate in and fall in love with the world of sea turtles. As a full-time teacher, it is impossible to assist in the field during the week. As a result, my volunteer work is mostly behind the scenes, with special events and activities.
In January 2019, my colleague Steven and I wrote a pilot program for STCC4KIDS. We executed this program in the following 6 months. Ten very enthusiastic kids aged 7-12 were participating in the program which consisted of 5 classroom lessons and 5 field trips. Their energy was beautiful, and they learned a lot. It was amazing to inspire these young, pure-hearted, worldly human beings. I hope to continue doing so for many more years to come.
